Downriver/Western Wayne County is coming together... for public defense reform!
On Wednesday, September 22, 5:30 p.m. at the Victorian Tea Room, 130 Maple St, Wyandotte, MI, come and join us for the third local coffee hour/organizing meeting in Western Wayne/Downriver for the Campaign for Justice. The Constitution says you have the right to counsel—effective representation is fundamental to a working justice system. But in Michigan, the public defense system is failing.
Hear an update about the public defense reform legislation and other parts of the movement, and get involved in the reform effort. We'll be talking about how to build public awareness in our communities through events, media, and more. Let’s build the movement!
