September 13, 2012, state's House Judiciary Committee continued to hear testimony on House Bill 5804, Representative McMillin's indigent defense legislation. Representatives McMillin and Lipton and Judge Fisher gave great testimony in support of the bill. Committee vote TBD.
August 15, 2012, Representative McMillin introduced House Bill 5804. This bill implements the recommendations from the Governor's Indigent Defense Advisory Commission's final report.
